OBN RDS transition course is designed to provide the agent/officer with an understanding of basic operation of the MRDS and to build skills needed to utilize the MRDS. Agents/Officers will shoot multiple drills to build skills in pistol draws from the duty holster to quickly acquire the MRDS. Agents / officers will have a basic understanding of the advantages of utilizing a single focal plane optic on a pistol as well as the basic maintenance and use procedures. Agents / officers will demonstrate the ability to diagnose the common presentation errors when utilizing a handgun mounted MRDS and how to mitigate them by practical application of these techniques in various courses of fire.
